River: A social media leader too The Club is still leading the engagement rankings not only at a national level, but also as part of the world’s top 10, and it adds TikTok to its list of channels.

El Más Grande (The Greatest One) on and off the playing field, and also on social media. River keeps projecting its digital strategy with which it has been leading the national social engagement rankings of clubs for more than a year uninterruptedly

During October, the Club even led the global ranking of association football clubs on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, being also the institution with the world’s highest engagement ratio. It was also the country’s number one on Youtube.

Besides these official channels, LinkedIN, Spotify and, as of today, TikTok are included in the list.

TikTokis a global video platform, trending both in the West and in the East, being specially popular among the teenage public (Generation Z). Today it’s number one on the App Store and Google Play download charts.

Stefano Di Carlo, 2nd Vicepresident of the Club, highlighted that “the Club’s constant innovation regarding communication and content generation, which translates into River Plate being one of the region’s main communicators.”

Noel Nuez, TikTok’s Country Manager for Spain and South America, described River Plate’s incorporation to TikTok as “a great occasion to connect the club and Argentinian football with the platform’s global audiences.”
