On Friday, May 27th, the draw for the CONMEBOL Libertadores Round of 16 took place, and River now knows which team will be its rival for this stage: Velez.
River will play the first leg as away team and the second leg as home team. In the quarterfinals, the winner of this stage will play against the winner of Colon vs Talleres de Cordoba.
Being the second best group leader, River will play all the second legs at home, given that Palmeiras is on the opposite side of the bracket. It is worth noting that the matches for the round of 16, the quarterfinals, and the semifinals will comprise two legs, while the final will be a single match.
