On Thursday, February 4th, Franco Armani confirmed his stay at el Más Grande. The goalkeeper met with Rodolfo D’Onofrio: he updated and extended his contract with the Institution, to which he is now bound until June 30th, 2023.

Armani came to River at the beginning of 2018 and has won four titles since: The 2017 Argentine Super Cup (it was played in March 2018), the 2018 CONMEBOL Libertadores, the 2019 CONMEBOL Recopa, and the 2019 Argentine Cup.

Apart from these titles, Armani broke a historic River record: he reached the 965-minute mark without conceding a goal, surpassing the great Amadeo Carrizo, who had remained undefeated for 769 minutes.

In September 2020, Armani reached the 100-match mark as goalkeeper for el Más Grande.
